Your Complete and Comprehensive Guide to the Players on Survivor: Australia v The World
Part Two (okay, NOW it’s complete and comprehensive)
A new season of Australian Survivor is imminent! It’s Australia vs The World, featuring some of the greatest ever Survivor players. Here’s your complete and comprehensive guide to the World tribe. (My breakdown of the Australia tribe is here.)
The World Tribe
Tony (USA)
Tony is an unpredictable force of chaos, whose high-risk style of aggressive play has seen him win Survivor twice (including once against a cast of all-winners in season 40 and once against a cast of all-weirdos in season 28). His brazen strategic audacity is most evident in his regular construction of spy shacks (Survivor: Cagayan), spy bunkers (Survivor: Game Changers), spy nests (Survivor: Winners At War), spy rafts (Survivor: Atlantis) and spy black lodges (Survivor: Twin Peaks).
Tony is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to his proven ability to find idols, orchestrate blindsides, speak llama, manipulate others, charm juries and win games of Survivor.
Cirie (USA)
Cirie is a social and strategic giant of the game, who redefined Survivor strategy through her unparalleled social intelligence and stealthy gameplay across four seasons. In her first season, she showcased her voting acumen with the legendary 3-2-1 vote, a feat she later followed up with her semi-legendary 4-2-2-1 vote, her mathematically satisfying e^iπ + 1 vote and her toe-tapping 8-6-7-5-3-0-9 vote.
Cirie is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to her proven ability to manoeuvre her way deep into the endgame, surrounded by tight alliances, all while being regularly name-checked in 30 Rock. And, besides, isn’t it about time we got rid of that ‘best player to never win’ tag?
Parvati (USA)
Parvati is a mesmerising assassin, who weaponises her flirtatious charm, along with her savvy tactics, expert reads, and ability to hold her arm above her head for incredibly long stretches of time, to dominate and control the game. She has been part of some of the most celebrated moves in Survivor history, including her double idol play (Survivor: Heroes v Villains), helping convince Erik to give up his necklace (Survivor: Fans v Favourites) and sharing a hot tub with Yul and Ozzy (Survivor: Yul v Ozzy In A Hot Tub).
Parvati is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to her proven ability to manipulate the minds of others into doing her bidding - an especially fruitful tactic if that bidding is ‘let me win Survivor’.
Rob (South Africa)
Rob is a calm, calculating puppeteer, whose first game (Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets) saw him establish a powerful cult, in which every other player’s primary motive was to sacrifice themselves in whatever fashion was most likely to give Rob the win. To this day, the island of secrets on which he played is home to almost forty worshippers - including both the original players and their devout descendants, who speak in hushed tones about the divine promises of the day that Rob will return to save them.
Rob is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to the prophecy.
Lisa (New Zealand)
Lisa is a calm, emotionally intelligent Survivor devotee, whose peerless understanding of the history and subtleties of the game enabled her to surge in the late stages of Survivor New Zealand: Enough With The Sheep Jokes! to take home first prize (a Weta Workshop Season Pass and a portable jandal repair kit).
Lisa is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to her proven ability to be from New Zealand, because, as always, if an Australian can’t win, we’re more than happy to claim a New Zealander as one of us.
Kassandra (Canada)
Kassandra is an adaptable and wily chameleon, whose game in Survivor Quebec: Parlez Vous Francais? saw her… wait a moment… what’s this? (‘Ssshhh… it’s me, Tony. I’m here in my Spy Parentheses, doing some scouting on Kassandra. You’re not going to give me away, are you, man? Come on. Now, go on. Get out of this parenthetical aside. You’re blowing up my spot.)
Kassandra is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to her proven ability to… oh, bloody hell...— yes, it’s me, Tony, again. This time I’m hiding behind my Spy Em-Dash. Get out of here, bro!
Tommi (Finland)
Tommi is an Oscar-winning American actor known for The Fugitive and Men in Black, whose gravelly intensity and deadpan delivery defined 90s action cinema, and who parlayed his movie career into a one-time run on Survivor Finland: No, You’re Thinking of Denmark. I think. Didn’t get around to watching this one.
Tommi is the player most likely to win Survivor: Australia v The World, thanks to his proven ability to spell his name ‘Tommi’ and thereby not ever be technically voted out.
So, there you are. The full cast of Survivor: Australia v The World. Who do you think will win? Answers in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe for report cards on each and every episode.
I think Parvati might win it. The ability to hold one's arm above one's head for prolonged stretches of time can come in useful in all sorts of situations such as "who can hold their arm up the longest" challenge and...er...well, there's....like, for example...well, anyway if that challenge comes up, she will be smashing it for sure!
"sharing a hot tub with Yul and Ozzy (Survivor: Yul v Ozzy In A Hot Tub)." LOL:)
