In the second last over, Gill appeared to have spread the field to let Atkinson keep strike, which the commentators were puzzled by. No one seems to have discussed whether it was a moment of sportsmanship in order not to let Woakes face up to live bowling. Not likely with the series on the line but otherwise, it was a weird decision.

I'm not sure it was sporting behaviour from India, based on the frustration from them when they stole the bye the previous over. I think it was yet another example of everybody's head falling off under the pressure.
