West Indies v Australia Second Test, Day Four Report Card
Featuring Morpheus Off The Short Run
Morpheus Off The Short Run
Australia’s bowling attack turned out to be way too good for not just the West Indies batters, but also for me. I went to bed before the day’s play started, with a night management plan of checking the score around 4am and assessing options from there.
Turned out it was all over by the time my eye popped open, Australia’s morning session mini-collapse of 3/22 (thanks to no Hazlewood-Lyon partnership to tidy things up at the end - this is why you don’t weaken a strength to strengthen a weakness) easily trumped by the West Indies effort of 143 all out.
A day-night Test would be quite welcome around about now, lads. At least give me a chance.
Anyway, as always, here’s what I missed, in limerick form:
The caught-and-bowleds tally climbed up to five
A thrilling new way to keep interest alive
A quarter of the batters!
Leaving that record in tatters!
Or maybe not. I dunno. Let’s check the archive
Trying to cover two series that both operate primarily during our sleeping hours is very rough, but the silver lining to your lack of sleep is a lot of limerick practice, and that's never a bad thing
