The 50 Most Ridiculous Ashes Moments
Please buy my new book! I'll be your best friend!
An Ashes series is imminent, and we all know what that means, right? Things are about to get ridiculous.
As I’ve discussed many times with my Ridiculous Ashes podcast co-host, Alex Bowden, ridiculousness in cricket comes in many forms - ridiculously good, ridiculously bad, and, of course, the plain old ridiculously ridiculous.
If you want multiple examples of all three different forms of ridiculousness as it pertains to the Ashes, in particular, then may I heartily recommend our new book, The 50 Most Ridiculous Ashes Moments (with, as ever, the implicit subtitle - ‘of the past 50 years’, because Bradman gets no say in this, damn it - take your showboating elsewhere, pal!).
Alex and I have written this one together1, and, if I do say so myself, it’s a cracking read - highlighting some of your favourite Ashes moments and some you may have forgotten and/or been unaware of. (Yes, you specifically - the person reading these very words.)
It’s out on October 28 and available for pre-order now: liebcricket.com/ridiculousashes/
(If you’re in England, you can also apparently pre-order it via https://uk.bookshop.org/a/13129/9781923135697 and save on shipping costs. I’d tell you more, but I don’t know any more. Many things are shrouded in a London fog-like mystery.)
If you are intending to read it - and honestly why wouldn’t you be? - then please pre-order the book. It definitely helps us as authors. Thank you in advance.
And, enjoy.
PS Pat Cummins has written the foreword for the book. Why would Pat lie to you? A: He wouldn’t. Yet another reason to pre-order now.
I’ll probably do a post for paid subscribers over the next week or so going behind the scenes on some of the writing process. If that’s interesting to you, then feel free to trial the paid subscription options.
Congratulations on the book!
