Bacchus Off The Long Run
The second T20 was abandoned shortly after Mitch Marsh lost the toss and Australia, as a result, were not permitted to bat second, as they prefer.
Once the visitors’ proclivities were clarified for this third match, however, it was agreed that play could take place. Not that I saw much of it at all, because I was heading off to a housewarming party.
Here’s what I missed, in limerick form:
New Zealand, in this third Chappell-Hadlee,
Again batted mostly not-badly
But Marsh batted not-worse
As his teammates dispersed,
